Early exposure to basic farming practices is an essential life skill and a stepping-stone towards a sustainable lifestyle and healthy living. Once a week, our gardener Mr Arumugam provides students with an opportunity to partake in growing and harvesting homegrown fruits and vegetables namely pumpkin, brinjals, mangoes, spinach, lady’s finger, groundnut, etc.

Discovering art helps our students develop creativity, problem-solving skills, hand-to-eye coordination, and an appreciation for history and culture. We believe that art should serve as a medium for disseminating ideas concerning social, cultural, and political issues in addition to its aesthetic value.
Learning different aspects of arts is a fundamental part of the curriculum at Ela Green School and our passionate team of art teachers strive to deliver an inspiring, engaging learning environment.

In Visual arts, students experiment with various mediums and techniques, to reflect and appreciate art in the socio-historical context and draw parallels to contemporary times. Through visits to galleries, art shows, museums, and exhibitions, students get the opportunity to engage with the world of art.
To develop their conceptual and contextual understanding of art the students explore UOI concepts and research various artists, designers, and craftspeople.
Ultimately the goal is for them to develop self-awareness and add meaning to the world around them.
Learning drama in school fosters growth in a wide range of areas, including self-esteem, self-expression, communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills, and imagination. From navarasana to hamlet, our students unfold a panoply of human emotions.
Our theatre curriculum lays emphasis on diverse cultures and folktales through our performing arts program. It allows our students to exercise agency, introspect, persevere, and emote their feelings through mime and drama.
Appreciation for music begins in our EYP class, and from the age of five, children can choose their choice of instrument to enhance their skills further. At Ela Green, children learn both vocal and instrumental lessons and explore different genres of classical and western music. Some of the instruments we specialise in are Keyboard and Guitar.
Students express themselves through music in profound ways that go beyond their spoken language skills. Students learn to recognise patterns, structure, and communication skills, and essentially develop cultural awareness.
We aim to create a learning environment that provides a space to express, create and reflect upon their music and surroundings.
The art of expressing oneself through performance is often shaped by the palpable energy of a live audience. The ability to resonate with others is the core element of Performing Arts.
It is part of the curriculum to employ theatre, dance, street dramas, mime, music, stand-up comedy, and magic shows to explore emotions, imagination, and creativity. Each art form stimulates a child’s mind, body, and emotions in different ways to boost their self-esteem and helps them embrace self-expression.
